On June 11, 2022, several members of the fraternity (Anne-Marie Miller, Jon Strickland, Barbara Lange, Kristen Doherty, John Cusick, Bill Tubbs, and Katherine Beverly [Inquirer]) attended the “March for Our Lives” protest to end gun violence. They were joined by guest of the fraternity Kelly Moltzen, OFS. In addition, Marie Dennis attended the protest with Pax Christi.
On the Feast of Corpus Christi, St. Camillus Catholic Church in Silver Spring Maryland held a Eucharistic Procession through their surrounding neighborhoods.
John Cusick, OFS, joined in a parish procession against gun violence on June 18, 2022 as the Santisimo bearing the Blessed Sacrament was carried through neighborhood streets on the feast of Corpus Christi. It was also Father’s Day weekend, and four fathers from different cultural backgrounds spoke against gun violence at stops along the way. An estimated 600 people participated, including residents who joined the procession.
